Our Easter bunny is taking the weekend off this year. He’ll be seven on April 15.
Happy Easter!."
Wasn't that a nice email to receive? She sent me this picture of him all grown up.
Today I got an email from a gal a sold a bunny to seven years ago. It sent me on a hunt. I ended up finding just this one picture. And it's a baby pic. The email said "Hope you are well!

Astrid's baby picture, and her now adult picture. She grew up pretty didn't she? From Astrid's people: My family and I adopted one of your rabbits 7 years ago! She is healthy, and happy. We take very good care of her. We make sure she gets the proper amount of food and exercise. Astrid (the bunny) has a whole room to herself in the basement and she runs around in it when supervised which is often. Astrid is a friendly and social rabbit who loves lots of cuddles and love, she is also very curious!
I received this lovely email this morning. Almost 8 years ago this fall, I adopted "Spot" who I renamed Darwin, from you. His mom was Minx and dad Bandit I believe. You delivered him to my house...near the university... I hope you remember! I wanted to send you an update as he will be turning 8 on Aug 25! He is as happy and as healthy as can be. He's maintained a perfect weight of about 2.1 to 2.2 kg for most of his adult life. He is so social and outgoing. He has lived in 4 houses with me, and is very adaptable. He loves his canine siblings (2 spaniels). He loves meeting our friends' kids, and is friendly with everyone. Hes not much of a cuddler, and would rather hop around and play with toys than snuggle. We had him neutered at about 4 years old as he started spraying a lot. Otherwise, he gets his yearly check ups, and we've had no concerns at all. He no longer will jump over a 3 ft gate, so his current house is a large hutch (intended for outside use) and large attached exercise pen that occupies most of our living room. His favorite snack is kale and a nibble of a peach is his favourite treat. I've attached a few recent photos of him. Thanks for bringing him into my life all that time ago! Doesn't it look like he's just living the best of bunny lives? THIS, this is what I breed for. Bunnies that are adaptable and that make excellent pets! You go Darwin! :) I had to do a bit of searching, but I found this picture of Darwin when he was wee little. And this one when he's about 4-5 weeks I'm guessing.
I received this email: The boys are enjoying their first night at the trailer. Love them to bits and pieces!
Not sure if you'll remember our little furball, Baxter- he is 6 years old today! He's turned out to be such good boy. He is almost totally free range (and behaves!) and he knows exactly when to start poking around for his dinner. He loves attention and surprisingly, visitors (who always get a kick out of him!). Thought you might be interested to see the handsome, grown up bun he's become!
Hope all is well with you and the buns! Here's a link back to his folks. This little guy lives out Mississauga way from what I recall. he's growing up. Gordon has new digs and a new companion. I just wanted to let you know that Max and Gordan are doing very well !! Gordan is one of the most friendly bunnies I’ve ever known and he’s such a boss man and we love him ! Henry and Gordan get along quite well they will run and chase each other Gordan was chasing Henry (: and gordan will follow us everywhere , we have movie party’s and he will lye on the floor with Henry and they will sleep together (; Gordan is double the size he was when we first got him he’s growing into a big buck ! Overall Gordan doesn’t seem to miss home , we keep max and Gordan in contact! Gordan does not like kale he loves cucumbers, banana . We don’t feed him this food too much as it’s not that good for them , he eats normal , and loved dandelions ! He loves to lye on his side outside in the grass . He’s a very friendly guy. Just thought I would let you know how he is doing (: Gordan has his first bath a couple days ago , not a big fan of the water but he was getting pretty stinky (: lol ! We got him a different cage one that’s on the ground and has a ramp where we can let him out ! Max is a shy guy he tends to not want to be as held as much but is still a very good girl or boy (: Gordan now knows how to jump onto the couch and hop up the stairs , we gotta keep our eyes on him at all times “lol!” Henry has accepted Gordan into the family and considers him a part of the “pack” he will. Chase squirrels and then come and sit beside Gordan (: Gordans fur is staring to get darker and more striped. He’s looking very good !
Hey! Just wanted to let you know “Soda” is fitting in perfectly here! Our cat has decided that he’s the mommy to both the bunnies now lol he’s been grooming their fur and cuddling with them both. Soda’s ears seem to be falling a bit more since he’s been here and he’s grown so much! Thanks again, we absolutely love him!
Selling Diablo was a hard decision. It was great to get this picture of him and see how he was doing. :) Spoiled bun he is. Little girl I sold back in November last year. She's a much loved pet.

AuthorI have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards. For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
