 Forums and what not.

Forums and places to learn more about rabbits.

Grandview Commerical Rabbitry Forum - if you have questions about your rabbits just ask here.  Needs a simple sign in and then you can post.  People are fairly helpful.  I don't know how active this forum is as it no longer allows me in.

Rabbit Talk.    I thoroughly enjoy this group of people.  Willing to help, to chat, to let newbies learn.  A place for everyone in the rabbit world, from pet owners to breeders to fur spinners.   Relatively free of excess drama.

Homesteading Today.  This site has a pretty good rabbit forum.   Easy signup.  Good place to ask questions of all sorts.    More for producers than for pet rabbit owners though.  Good place to learn about self-medicating your rabbits.

Meatrabbits a yahoo group This is a meat rabbit forum- so if you can't deal with all the aspects of meat rabbits just don't go there, it is an excellent place to learn some of the practicals of caring for your bunnies.

Rabbit Habbit.   Primarily it seems focused on the younger crowd and the show crowd.  An eager to help group.  I enjoy popping in there.   This site is no longer active.  They've gone to a new site.    The old site remains up for it's helpful posts.

Rabbit Addict.   The new rabbit habbit site.   Nice group of people there.  Not as active yet as the old site.   I find it is dominated by show rabbit people, and many are quite knowledgeable, particularly if you have colour and genetic questions.

Poultry Swap.  NOT a forum generally for chatting.  You can sell your stock on it.

To learn more about Holland Lops I found The Holland Lop Speciality Club  fascinating.  This site is loaded with helpful information.   As is Three Littles Ladies.

A blog that I just discovered called holland lops blog.  Doesn't have a whole lot there, but you might find it useful.

The national jersey woolie site has a number of useful articles.

Information on Fancy Mice.   UK based, focused on showing, but interesting site to browse.

 Organizations

American Association of Rabbit breeders (ARBA)   The ARBA is an organization dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of the domestic rabbit and cavy. With over 23,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad, our members range from the pet owner with one rabbit or cavy to the breeder or commercial raiser with several hundred animals. Each aspect of the rabbit and cavy industry whether it be fancy (for exhibition), as a pet, or for commercial value, is encouraged by our organization.

Dominion Rabbit and Cavy breeders Association  (DRCBA).   Its mission is to promote the breeding and showing of pedigreed rabbits and cavies and to assist in all aspects of the industry when it can. The club hosts a number of local shows each year along with other fun, social events.

Southwestern Ontario Rabbit breeders

Forest City

Ontario Council of Rabbit Breeders.   The OC of RC represents the American Rabbit Breeders Association in Ontario, where we are dedicated to the promotion, development and improvement of the domestic rabbit and cavy industry and fancy, whether kept as pets or for shows.
Eastern Ontario Rabbit Breeders Club.  The objective of the club is to encourage the breeding of rabbits and cavies according to the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) system of registration, standard of perfection and show rules. We also encourage, promote and support the youth exhibitors. Finally, we promote the exhibiting of rabbits and the interests of the rabbit industry in all of its phases.

Helpful Sites

Fuzzy Lop.   The owner plans "to keep the website up for those who are interested in fuzzy lops and need advice".
