NOTE of disclaimer

I am VERY hesitant to supply links to rescues as most are PETA related.   This means that they are so animal rights oriented that they put animals above the rights of people.    This is NOT okay.   People may be classified as animals in the scientific sense, but we are MORE than animals.   Animals deserve and should have excellent care and should be recovered from truly bad care, BUT animals are indeed animals and are not worthy of more care and attention than people are.   Care for them, love them, but don't elevate their status.

As one commentator said - if animals are as important and as worthy as people are, then like people they should be able to be charged with animal cruelty and be imprisoned should they act out against us or other animals.      One doesn't see an animal in the court system very often.

Many animal rights people live for the extermination of the family pet, and I cannot support people with that end goal as part of their mind set.

So I will only list rescues that have an open mind about pets and those that breed them.

Rescues

London Guinea Pig Rescue.      From their site:   "We take in guinea pigs and find them new homes. We do not charge any fees to surrender your guinea pig(s). We are simply looking to help as many as we possibly can".   I have not heard back from the operator of this rescuer as to the opinion held regarding breeders, so if you are a breeder, exercise caution.  :)

Rebecca's Rabbit Rescue.  (her new site)   She takes in rabbits from a variety of situations and finds them new homes.     If you want to get in contact with her, email me with your information and I will forward it to her.   Her focus in on helping rabbits be companion animals.

Hamilton's Guinea Pig Rescue.   Guinea pig rescue only.  NO rabbits.  Relatively new start up.
