Between the flu and generalized busy-ness I didn't get these rabbits up on the blog as sold. Begging your pardeon eh?
DropPatch x BonFire kids born on December 23 both moved into pet homes, the girl with a 16 year young lad, the boy into a family with children and another rabbit.
BrightSparrow moved into a home with a couple whose older rabbit was getting old and looking to die and they wanted a new one to love on when the time came.
LilyFlower x SparksBranch this fellow found a new home this past week. A pet home in London.
Lost DropPatch this winter. A spell of up and down weather and raising kits and she just couldn't cope. I tried to get her eating again, but she just shut down. Two of her four kits went with her, but two are thriving and will soon be into new homes.
In other news:
Things are going well in the rabbitry overall. The rabbits seem to be doing well. I did get upset with BrightSong the other day for tearing apart her nestbox, but was very pleased to save two of the kits. Pol will be stretched a bit caring for the youngsters, but hopefully she will do just fine. NO MORE UP AND DOWN WEATHER PLEASE!!!!
Song made a poor nest but had three lovely kits and one peanut. This afternoon she decided to completely tear her nest apart. The peanut disappeared (suspect eaten), lost one and two were VERY cold but I got them warmed up nicely. They are now fostered to Pol.
Watch Me Grow
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
