The first is a Zesty girl by Volly. Born Feb 20. From a litter of three. She's a broken chocolate holland lop.
Took home two different bunnies today. The first is a Zesty girl by Volly. Born Feb 20. From a litter of three. She's a broken chocolate holland lop. The second to find a home today is Chocolate orange tricolour off AJ and Jump. Born on March 21. He's a fantastic young buck who is friendly and kind. Out of a litter of seven.

Cindy's last girl has found a new home. She's a sweet natured lass who is going to be transitioning to being a free roam girl.
Born on March 7, 2023 as part of a litter of six. She is the smallest of the litter, and a very good natured lass. Her colouring is black/orange tricolour. As a holland lop she should mature to about 3.5 lbs. Her mom came in just about 4 lbs and dad (Volly) a lightweight at 3 lbs. She might, based on her current size, end up at Dad's weight. Either way, she's a good lass and should make an excellent companion for her new person. Cindy and Volly produced a litter of six, mostly all tricoloured. I love the head on this lad. Born on March 7, 2023.
I went to the Rockton show today and a young lady walked by and decided she liked the look of this young fella so off he went. He participated in his pet rabbit class today. He's a lovely tempered fellow who should do well. A curious active fellow who likes his people and makes them laugh. (at least he made me laugh with some of his silliness). :) Makes him an excellent 4H bunny. This Feb 4 girl off Berry and Volly tried hard to get me to call her little girl, but I kept resisting as I knew she had a home waiting for her somewhere.
She was part of a litter of six. A sweet tiny lass. Based on her current size/rate of growth I don't expect her to exceed 2 lbs. She's such a tiny lass/little girl. She's a sweet-natured girlie, what I'd call a soft-tempered rabbit. I expect she'll be an easy-going lass as an adult. These kiddos are all holland lops This solemn little lad, the smallest in the litter of three, from Zesty and Volly moved into his new home today. He'll be part of a family with four children. This unflappable boy is so much like his daddy, I was so tempted to keep him. His colour is broken sable. He's a Feb 20 boy. Kisa's two youngsters via Wasp, born on Feb 11, are nice babes. The buck is a quiet lad, much like his momma, the doe is busier... like daddy was at this age. I recommend getting the doe spayed as early as you can since momma went through the terrible teens and avoiding that would be fantastic. This girlie is out of Frankie and Wasp. Frankie is a gregarious, goofy girl who likes her pets and LOVES her food. I expect this girlie will grow up to be much like her momma. Born on Feb 4.
From a litter of five. I do not expect these two boys off Berry to exceed two pounds when they mature. Might they completely surprise me? That's always a possibility as bunnies have surprised me more than once in my life. But based on their current rate of growth and size, I do not anticipate that at all. :)
Born on Feb 4 to a litter of six. They have gone on to pet homes with a couple of adults. This little man left of his new home today. He took with him a full bag of hay. Other than being called bunny by his new boy, this broken chocolate otter still needs to discover his true name.
This young bunny, once weaned from his momma, decided he should be in charge of siblings and make sure everyone minded him. It was funny how quickly he decided that should be so. Momma is Berry, Dad is Volly. He's a tiny lad. A lovely little dwarf boy. I fully expect him to mature to 2.5 lbs max. Part of a litter of six and born on Feb 4, 2023. His parents are very sweet, easy-going bunnies. A bit of drama with Cindy's litter! She was kindling while I was doing chores, the kits I had checked looked big for Holland lop kits. She finished just as I was finishing chores with the last one dragged out and looking obviously deceased. I immediately double checked the nest and thought I had found another deceased kit. The nest wasn't great so I set the two dead kits aside while I rebuilt her nest with saved fur. As I brought the nestbox back to the doe one of the kits started breathing! I was excited, helped the kit out by stimulating the lungs and breathing close to its face. Breathing became regular!!!! My son texted me at 1130 and let me know all five kits were breathing well and were wiggly. So fantastic!!! Watch Me GrowOakley had some trouble giving birth. She had two DOA and one live when I went out first thing this morning, and then one more DOA when I went out late to bring in her little one for the night. Watch Me GrowZesty seemed to be having trouble kindling as I was a bit concerned about her. She wouldn't let me mess with her so I just let her be and hoped for the best. This morning she presented me with three lovely kits. No sign of any trauma, no extra bleeding, no sign of a big dead kit or anything, so she's fine. I was fussed over nothing. One kit has a colour I wasn't expecting so I'm looking forward to see their colours come in. Watch Me Grow |
AuthorI have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards. For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
