both of these tiny youngsters went to pet homes in London today. :)
These two boys off Copper and Toffee are off to a new home this morning. They will be pets to a lovely young lady who also does childcare and has had well-loved guinea pigs in the past.
Two boys. One red/black and the other red/chocolate. Brothers. Hoping to get $15 each, but willing to barter. Mostly just want them out of the house and into new digs. :)
Tiny girl. Sister to the boys above. Born beginning December. She is quite petite, and should NOT be a breeder piggie. PET HOME ONLY. $20 is asking price, willing to negotiate.
I sold Copper a while back telling her new owner she was most likely pregnant.
There was a fair amount of discussion back and forth as to whether she was or wasn't preggers, but I had been fairly sure she was.
My two girls, who had been running with Copper, both pupped on the weekend so I figured she was due to pup soon. I emailed her owner and discovered that YES Copper had pupped! :) Five pups, four are strong, one is weaker.
Lest you think they are in a dirty cage, they aren't. That's a brown carpet underneath I am told. :)
Gemma, who I am fairly sure is pregnant, has a home waiting for her upon her last litter. She'll be going to a pet home. She's a nice sow and what with the colder weather coming I thought loaning her out to a nice lady to be spoiled for a while is a very good thing. :)
These pups are off Copper by Gerry. The reds are total eye candy and my son was totally enamoured. :) They remind me of Eric. Mom Copper will be looking for a pet home in the spring.
I can hardly believe that I forgot to put this birth into my blog. Ah well, life happens.
Anyways, six pups born. We'd hoped she'd have them before our international student left, but was not to be. She waited until the day AFTER he left, little stinker.
Anyways, three girls (two reds, one black) and three boys (two black, one black/red). One of the reds will be retained as Copper will be going to a new home. It will be called Eureka.
Two pups born. Didn't expect them this soon, figured it would be another week or so as she wasn't very large.
BUT we have two pups. One male (black and red) and one female (black with one white paw). Cute little whips. :) The lad is intrigued by the black one and wishes we could keep her, the male is just a sweetie and may make for my next breeding boar.
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
