These two girls will be making new homes for themselves in London.
So over the past year I've had people give me rabbits, and rabbit stuff and what not.
Today i said okay... lets talk what I couldn't sell and bring it to the auction.
I took six plastic hidey holes, various hay feeders and bowls, litter boxes, guinea pig holes, other odd pieces and one rabbit.
I have to admit, I am not real keen about bringing rabbits to the auction, I never know where they are going to end up.
BUT I had this old cage that i wanted to get rid of AND a rabbit that came in as a rescue and the time had come for her to get out of my place. So I sent her off in the cage.
It is SO nice to have all this empty space again. Two big boxes of things all gone. ... bowls, feeders, sundries.. YEAH.. ALL GONE. And I got a wee bit of change for my troubles too. :)
Have to admit i was a tad unimpressed by the auction people though. They lost my sales slips so just gave me the base amount that they do in times of error. Irritating that end of things....but what is a person supposed to do eh?
So I have a friend who likes to help me sell my bunnies. I had given her three to sell a bit back and told her if she ever fell in love with one to keep it. Her boyfriend took a hankering for this fellow, and so he'll be their house rabbit. :) He's a StarFlower x Tiny Tim from Dec 26, 2015.
My little lover boy off StarFlower x Tiny Tim, born Dec. 26, has found himself a new home today. :) My thanks to my friend Bec for loving up on him the past couple of weeks while we found him new digs to hang out in.
On Monday this quiet boy from BranchNook and Diablo, a Jan 21 baby, found himself in a rabbit experienced home. He's a nice little polish boy and should do well in his new home.
A well made nest. Seven kits. Three looking to be peanuts, possibly four. Hoping to foster these kits out to a kinder quieter doe if my other two does kindle over the next couple of days.
Watch Me Grow
This tiny doe had a completely different litter than last time. Originally bred her to Baccia and she had a litter of predominately peanuts, one runt and one normal kit. This litter she has five kits...four look big and normal, and one peanut. Much more pleased this time around.
REALLY hoping her temperament improves with actually raising a litter. This doe is so cage protective she's on my short list of rabbits to be removed from the herd. She's such a pretty doe though....it's a shame.
Watch Me Grow
Six kits born to this tiny doe. Not sure if peanuts or runts as they are tiny babies. Might be perfectly normal, just small. Expect chocolate kits out of these two.
Watch me Grow
This litter struggled. They never grew at a normal rate. At seven weeks I lost both of them. The solid was the size of a four week old, the charlie the size of a three week old.
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
