Monster Truck headed off to his new home as a pet within a rabbitry. I think he'll thrive there. He came out of a home that was less than ideal. Tiny moved into a London home with a young lady. She's a bright, very active young doe.

So a family member had a work gig in Chatham this morning so I tagged along (actually... i needed to drive so preparations could be finished). And I had a gal contact me about this happy little dude. I've been calling him Ene (short for Energizer) as he's a happy, friendly BUSY boy. While siblings would be calmly sniffing around he'd be bopping around, doing binkies and running circles around them. After letting him wear off his energy he always settled well for me and I could let him be a pocket bunny once in a while. :)
His new family decided Gus suited this kit from Beauty and Arrow. He was born on July 15 as part of a litter of seven. He was the only one of the three tiny ones in that litter to survive and he proved he has a lot of gumption. IF I had needed another boy, Ene/Gus would have stayed, as I simply adored this tiny busy boyo. I am DELIGHTED that he has a lovely family to call his own. Did you know there are no "U" rabbits in the world. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised, though it might have been funny to discover unicorn rabbits. Anyways, we'll just move along into the V rabbits. I know of the velveteen lop which is a rabbit still in the development stage. People are trying various approaches to developing a lop eared rabbit with a rex coat. Spain developed "The V-Line" rabbit. a medium-sized rabbit weighing about 7 lbs. I couldn't find a lot of information about these rabbits beyond reading a study about the beneficial use of discarded dates in helping rabbits grow in hot climates. Austria gives us the vienna coloured, and the vienna white. Basically identical rabbits for size (7-11 lbs) and conformation, but with the white strictly being a white rabbit. The coloured some in Agouti, black and blue. This is part of the blogging through the alphabet challenge. You can find the linky. Others in this series. A bunnies. B bunnies. C bunnies. D Bunnies. The harlequin girl, part of a litter of seven, off Beauty and Arrow headed off to her new home with half sister from Gracie and Arrow born on June 29. The sable point is out of a litter of six.
The sable point should mature to a smaller size than the harlequin. She is a quiet girl but knows her own mind and doesn't like being pushed into anything. The harlequin, out of a brood sized doe will most likely mature to around 4 lbs. She's a happy girl, who likes to jump but is somewhat cautious in her approach to life around her. A two hour trip for her owner, a one hour trip for me, plus family help and a young rabbit from Cherry and Gregory found her way to a new home.
Born as part of a litter of 11, born July 1, 2021. A sweet-natured young bunny who should make for an excellent pet. She'll be called Isuzu. These two young ladies went off to their new home last Saturday. Off Beauty and Arrow, born on July 15. Sweet young ladies who should please their new people.
The T rabbits, oh, what T rabbits can we discover in the world around us? I know of the Tamuk... a commerical end run rabbit. Use for breeding but the kits are supposed to be culled for food. And what other T rabbits.... Then there's the Tan rabbits. Gorgeous rabbits, a running breed. Simply beautiful. Four varieties that originally hailed from England, the breed club tells us that they came stateside in 1936. Tans come in four varieties (colors): black, blue, chocolate and lilac. The video below shows a couple of the colour variations. I can't forget about the Thrianta. A rabbit developed in The Netherlands in honour of the royal house. They almost died out in during the second world war. They are red with a fawn tail, and fawn under their feet. A medium sized fancy rabbit weighing 4-6 lbs. They are a compactly built rabbit. The Breed Club. At one point I wanted to own a pair of them as well...you know DUTCH origins. But thought I might get bored with only the one colour. Aren't they a pretty rabbit though? Other T rabbit breeds include Germany gives us the Thuringer rabbit. A sable rabbit with dark points. This rabbit weighs about nine pounds. A bold muscular rabbit. The small Tadia comes from Morocco. I think this is the first rabbit from Morocco that we've featured. Developed as a small meat rabbit in 1994, it weighs up to 4 lbs. There are a couple "teddy" rabbits being developed. The Teddywinder which is a lop eared fuzzy long-haired dwarf rabbit. and the Teddy Dwarf which again is a fuzzy long-haired dwarf rabbit with erect ears and a flat face. They aren't official breeds as far as I can tell. They are mostly being developed in Germany. The Tronder rabbit, also known as the Norwegian Silver Fox, is a shiny black rabbit with white hairs throughout the coat providing a silvering look. Developed in 1913 in Norway weighing 9 to 13 pounds This is part of the blogging through the alphabet challenge. You can find the linky.

AuthorI have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards. For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
