Nice litter in a well-made nest. I'm actually not sure if she had seven or eight. A couple were small, a couple larger and they were rather active on a cold, rushed morning so I didn't take the time to do a thorough count. Tomorrow is time enough for that. Regardless of the ReasonYou need to know your options for culling well. This article will help. In a nutshell you can sell or kill. SellOnly animals that are temperamentally and physically sound. Do not sell animals that are sick. You have no business ethically of passing along your problem to someone else. I know that sometimes animals get sick moving into a new home, I get that. Stress does weird things to rabbits. I'm not talking about rabbits who end up completely surprising you with health issues. What i mean is deliberately selling a rabbit who isn't eating, blows snot, has a weepy eye or whatever. Just don't do it. Sell well. Honestly answer questions about your rabbits. Give out accurate pedigrees, Do what you say you will. CullAnything you aren't selling. Make sure you have a back up method if your primary method fails for whatever reason.

Anyways, go read it! :) Three dead kits. It was a hard delivery and VERY cold last night. If the one that wasn't horribly bruised was born alive, the cold would have killed it. But two were badly bruised with some scratches so not an easy delivery for this young doe.
No idea on the number of kits or what. Small nest made, show of blood on the day. Two days later I found a foot. So we know she is fertile, I just don't know if she's going to be able to be a mom. I'll do a rebreed in a couple of weeks.
