She is off Shimmer and Stream to have. Her birthday is July 15, 2022. I expect her to mature to about 3 lbs. She's off to a home with other rabbits.
Mom, Dad and a young lady met me at the mall in London to get this young lady. So my tiny girl found herself a home! a couple of days after her sister found a home, tiny did as well.

Bunny poop machine needed for the win! She has a secondary role as pet for children, but predominately, her poop is needed for a garden. What a great role for this girl off Shimmer and Stream to have. Her birthday is July 15, 2022. I don't expect her to exceed 3.5 lbs at maturity which is quite typical for holland lops.
She's an easy-going lass and has good view on the world. Part of a litter of six. She's the biggest girl of the litter. Her momma is an easy-going girl who quick to come for food, and loves a good ear rub. Daddy Stream, a solidly good lad without a mean bone in his body. This litter of three was born May 20, 2022. Komet started off just raising her own kits but then needed to pick up raising Zesty's as well. She did an excellent job of raising up all six of them. a black otter and a broken chestnut girl will be sharing a home. The goal is that they will form an adult bond, but they may, depending on the vagaries of life, need to be separated. Time will tell. Right now, they stick together. The otter is quieter girl, she often sits back and lets her more assertive sister check things out first. The Broken black buck ... this picture pretty much sums up his personality. He's a tiny lad, so much like his momma at this age. He's got a quirky personality and will hopefully bring much joy to his new people.
Dad is Stream. So I originally wasn't going to keep this doe and then for some reason did. I was disappointed with her all winter as no breeding happened and then her first litter was DOA and they weren't big kits so didn't make a lot of sense. So that was her second strike. BUT she gave me a fine litter this time and is doing an excellent job of raising them up. One little adventurer is often out of the box and in the winter would have died, but this summer... they are doing great! All tort I think, though there is one dark one (black I think). But I found a kit on the ground between her and Santini and assumed it was hers... I might be wrong. Time will tell for sure. If has upright ears will be from Santini. I'm becoming more convinced the black one is from Santini. Different build to it. Watch Me GrowI thought for sure that Wanda would have about five kits as she was lugging around a bit of pot belly. But now she's all slim and sleek with only a couple of kits! She's a first time momma and did and excellent job of building a summer nest for her kits. Watch Me GrowShimmer is a busy girl. Very stubborn and sure of herself.
I finally convinced her Stream was a handsome fella. The end result was two large deceased kits. She did not make a nest beyond pulling two tufts of fur. A nice nest, started seven days ahead of time. Three big kits born to this first time doe. She's fairly protective of the nest so I have high hopes she'll care for them well. I think we'll end up with a threesome of chestnut in broken and solid. Watch me GrowA May 1st boy off Speck and Stream, he has a lovely soft and quiet temperament. A marvellous young rabbit who will hopefully live a long time.
His owners previous rabbit Boru lived for nine years and did really well until his last month. He also came from my rabbitry. I so love having people come back! :) This youngster is part of a litter of five, raised by a doe who was quiet and steady. She raises her kits to be the same way. Speck/Arrow daughter is now Violet.
Spice/Stream son is now Jack. The hope is that they might produce fuzzies as they are both potential carriers. If they don't and I get fuzzy down the road They both come from litters of five. The doe from a momma with a good amount of spunk but with a kind demeanor. The buck is off a doe who was very quiet. Her kits always turn out to be very quiet as well regardless of what buck they are from. |
AuthorI have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards. For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
