My misfortune proved someone else fortune. I kept back four kits for my herd, Separated them last week because they were fighting. Everyone looked to be who they should be. Pulled them out yesterday for pictures and discovered that Heart is now a Hart (a girl now a boy). Since I didn't need three young bucks one of them had to go. Dragon is the one I chose to have leave.
Dragon is off Trebel and Pete, born Feb 15.
This Feb 15 boy off Trebel and Pete is into his new home tonight. A serious lad who is tiny, I don't expect him to mature beyond 2.75 lbs.
This Jan 29 lad off Tangle and Play has such a sweet temperament that I was delighted to send him off to his new home today.
A Feb 15 lad off Webb and Band, this lad has a calm inquisitive outlook on the world.
Pond and Calypso provided this lad on Feb 6, a happy go lucky boy.
This Feb 15 boy off Trebel and Pete found his way into a Toronto home today. The family that took him is well experienced with rabbits.
I was seeking a way to cull some numbers in my herd and the opportunity arose for me to find new homes for these two, so off they went to Scarborough.
Miss Growl here (a protective doe) had four kits, one born dead. So three in a nest spectacularly covered with fur. This little doe likes to go overboard on the fur pulling so gets an extra nestbox for a while to sit in to stay warm.
Watch Me Grow
This girlie off Shady and Max went into a new home in London. Had a hard time finding the place so the girl walked out to meet me.
This Sept 1 boy off Trebel and Calypso was picked up In Lucan yesterday.
Call's Caper finally went to a breeder home. It took a while to make the connections work but finally he left. He and BrownBand were SO not getting along... two alpha baby boys trying to figure out who was boss. No more bickering lads.
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
