Saffron has joined Just Wright Rabbits. She'll be spending her days in Sarnia now. Part of a litter of four.
Bella was a twerp this morning. I am training a gal to care for the buns when I'm away. I told her that when buns are buns 99% of the time. Showed her Bella's three. Bella acted DONE. I go out four hours later and bam.... there's a fourth kit! :) Not the best nest but quite functional.
Silly girl GOOD girl!

This last boy off Bella and Calypso left to go to his new home today. He'll be living in London with a couple of young men.
He was born on May 10.
May 10 kits off Bella and Calypso. One will be a breeder, the other is going to a nephew as a pet. Which is which? I dunno. :) But off to a new home they go.
These two kiddos off Belle by Calypso were born May 10, 2020. Nice youngsters. I was very tempted to hold back Lyra, but decided she could go to a new home instead.
Lyra left yesterday, Gina today. Good little rabbits that will make fine additions to their new breeder homes.
A litter of six born to this duo. I have to admit I was surprised at two peanuts in the litter. It's good to know though the Bella is a true dwarf. I was just surprised about Calypso. So Bella has four kits to raise, I'll be fostering 2 of Marilyn's over to her as she should have no problems raising six kits.
I was surprised two days later to discover five live kits in the box.

Bella and Band are the parents of this lovely little tort. Born Feb 24. She has a lot of her dad in her, being on the slightly bossy side, but enough of her mom in her to be amenable to a higher authority. I think she will be a fun adult rabbit to observe.
This February 24th girl off TipTop and Pete is finally on her way. A serious minded lass who likes to watch carefully what is going on around her.
A February 24 girl off Bella and Band. This little black girl is a submissive, kind young bunny. She should mature to be much like her momma, sweet-natured and having a firm appreciation for a good ear rub.
Salad has been named by a five year old. Isn't that a cool name? Off Bella by Band, a Feb 24 girlie. Her ears are still being wonky but should continue to fall just fine.
This little fellow's new owner met me at the mall this morning. Bella and Band produced a very quiet little mite. He'll make a very sweet boy as he matures. His name: Snor
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
