ChocoBane's boy off SplashHawk (Sept 7) off to a pet store sale.
I hadn't planned on selling this lass, but then decided she really didn't need to stay. She joined her sister in her new home. Sept. 5 kit off Bonnet x SplashHawk.
Keeper's brother went to live in a home where his new folks had just recently lost a bunny. Good to have bunnies go to rabbit experienced homes.
Kit off BlueStone x SparksBranch from August 11, 2017. Sold to pet store.
Bonnet's Tricolour off to a new home with Carson.
Bonnet's Fawn off to a new home with a family
Bonnet's Broken Black Otter off with a family in Sarnia. Bonnet's litter is off SplashHawk of Sept 5.
Once again the Forest City Rabbit Club put on a good show. Over 350 rabbits entered! A cavy show on the side, an excellent raffle table, and a food booth unlike any I've seen at other rabbit shows. :) I even entered a holland lop (been a LONG LONG time since I've shown a holland lop).
So what was good about this show?
Check out the raffle table! Books, pies, cavy stuff, rabbit stuff, blankets, a rabbit, a cavy and even some canaries! We even had a saddle up for raffle!
A great youth show, run by the youth, two 4H clubs doing their final assessments. I met a lot of great youth and their parents.
The Cavy Show! I saw from funky looking pigs, observed a sow and litter class, and people happy to share the joy that is guinea pigs.
I saw rabbits I wasn't very familiar with like sable, thriantra, silver, and tort dutch. I saw rabbits i was very familiar with like holland lops, mini rex, flemish, polish, jersey woolies and more. I almost was convinced to get back into Harlequin rabbits again... saw "Igor" who just stole my heart. :) oh.. and TRICOLOUR standard rex.. be still my heart they are SO GORGEOUS!!!!!
I didn't take a picture of the beef soup I had for lunch. :) Should have, it was decently good. Around me was a lot of chatter...the angora folk blowing out coats, guinea pig people chattering away, people coming to purchase bunnies, youth wondering around seeing new breeds and exclaiming over them, and so much more. It was interesting, at times overwhelming, but good. It was good. :)
Oh, How did my OtterLily do at the show?
Three shows, six rabbits each class. first class dq overweight, second show 3rd, third show fifth. Good head, lacks depth, good width, decent coat.
So... anyone have a buck I can use with some depth?? :)
Two of ChocoBane's kits off to new accommodations. This litter is off SplashHawk and born Sept. 7.
One of Bonnet's kits is off to a new home as well. Sept 5 kits off SplashHawk
Seven kits to this dumpy little doe. Two peanuts, Surprisingly she's not all protective of this litter. She's a slow momma, so we'll have to see how she goes.
Watch Me Grow
A unexpected litter size of nine kits, fat and sassy all but one (who is just a tad smaller). Good colour... will be interesting to see what a couple of them turn out to be. Thinking tris, tort, and black, possibly harlequin.
Watch Me Grow
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
