This was a disappointing first litter. Miss Mop has been giving me mixed signals for the past week.. was she or was she not preggers. This morning she had two dead babies in a decently made nest.
These bunch went off to a young rabbit breeder. Raises commercial breeds.
To a pet home with lots of children. A daughter from Triscuit.
Jake from Corbin and Peach went to a breeder home.
Harley Quinn from Peach and Corbin went to a pet home.
And these four kits were called into the pet store.
These two boys are off to a home in Ingersoll to be well cared for pets in very animal friendly household (but no pet spiders as they are the only animal not appreciated by certain members of the family).
This doe kit off Cyan and Blaze off to a new home in St. Thomas.
This boy off Nutmeg x Corbin Born April 4, off to a home in Guelph.
while the boy above and this lad below are in a new home in Kitchener.
While I was in Kitchener I picked up seven new cages at Bunnyview. tomorrow I hope to get them all put together and then up into racks built just for them. Joyce is an easy lady to deal with and is currently running a discount of 10% because of the show she has coming up.
Cyan x Blaze kit off to a pet home. She'll be kept company with this boyo below. He's off Triscuit and Red Pete.
This little lass of Nutmeg and Corbin is off to a pet home as well. Should be a good pet for a young girl.
Almost forgot these two. This red girlie off Triscuit and Red Pete gave us a bit of a run. She decided she didn't know her new owner well and took off across the lawn! Three people merrily (well perhaps not so merrily) gave chase. Me saying "hey girlie, come on sweetheart, it's all good" she eventually found a quiet spot under a farm implement and by throwing pieces of wood to make noise she slowly hopped forward until she could be nabbed. :) Silly girlie. Her owner just texted me and said she's relaxing a bit more now.
She'll be part of a breeding herd along with this young buck off Jilly and Red Pete.
These two boys from Stevie x Corbin born on March 13, 2014 have gone off to new pet homes. Parkhill and Woodstock. Quite opposite in personalities. The lighter one was very calm and quiet kiddo and the darker was a little explorer. It is hoped they will do well in their new homes.
Acorn x Reacher - March 14 - Holland Lop this girlie is off to a pet home in Sarnia.
a litter of four.
I am so pleased I went out to the rabbitry late and voila we had babies! So I quickly bundled momma and babies up and brought them into the house. Stevie finally had a litter! A Live litter with NO PEANUTS!!!! woot woot!!!
Watch Me Grow
Litter of five dead kits. Logos gets one more kick at the can before being sold to a pet home. I'm about done with this doe.
Builds a perfectly good nest and then kindles outside the box in three different places.
I have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards.
For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
