When she suddenly had an attitude change and desperately started nesting with her evening meal I thought um, okay? When and where did this occur? I cautiously moved her into a large habitat, as she's been rather ferocious in protecting her nest, so that she could be more comfortable. She chose which of two nestboxes would be HERS thank you very much.
over the past two days she's continued with her nestbuilding and fur pulling and I was just starting to be concerned as she was sitting in her box frequently and not eating much.
Today she had one kit that had been dead for a bit, and two normals along with one peanut.
Based on colouring and size of kits, I'm guessing that somehow Wasp got lucky but I have no recollection of that breeding and it simply does not fit with her delivery date. Anyways, she's a proud protective mama of three littles.
